This month Michael Parrish, Founder and Owner of BOF was invited to attend a magnificent Royal Reception held at Windsor Castle, honouring our King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.

The prestigious event was hosted by His Majesty King Charles and was graced by other members of the Royal Family including, The Princess Royal, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duchess of Edinburgh, The Duke of Gloucester, and the Duchess of Gloucester.

Michael had the honour of speaking with Dame Tamara Margaret Finkelstein, who is permanent secretary for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. She was the Head Judge on the Sustainability Panel and commented our award application was fantastic, that BOF is clearly leading Sustainable Development and promoting opportunities within the Industry.

BOF has been awarded nationally against strong competition, which demonstrates the highest commitment to sustainability, and we are proud to represent the best of British businesses. Our future goal is to not only decarbonise BOF but to also work with partners, clients and our community to achieve a Net Positive status. This sustainability award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team, we are privileged to have this opportunity and hold the King’s Emblem for the next 5 years.

This will be followed up with a visit to BOF from The Lord-Lieutenant of Mid Glamorgan, Mr Peter Vaughan QPM CStJ who is one of the King’s representatives, to officially present the King’s Award for Enterprise. This visit will mark another significant milestone in the company’s storied history and provide an opportunity to commemorate with the wider team at BOF.”
