Best Net Zero Initiative Award
BOF were ‘Highly Commended’ for ‘Best Net Zero Initiative’ at the Go Awards 2024/25 on the 5th of November in Cardiff, Wales’ most prestigious public procurement event in partnership with Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government.
The ceremony recognised the achievement and successes of all involved in the delivery of Welsh public sector services – judged by leading procurement figures from across Wales and the UK, these are the Awards everyone wants to win!
It was a double celebration for BOF as we were also shortlisted for the ‘Social Value’ Award and just one of 4 finalists. This award recognised our ongoing commitment, highlighting how we strive to create an overall positive impact on our people and local communities.
BOF are incredibly proud to have been ‘Highly Commended’ for the ‘Best Net Zero Initiative’ Award. For over 30 years we have championed environmental practices, this honour will further help us promote our ‘Closing the Loop’ Furniture Scheme within our Industry. We will endeavour to create ‘Sustainable Workspaces’ by offering our in-house reupholstery expertise, sustainably designed products and charity donations. As part of the BiP Solutions 40th Anniversary year Giving Back programme, the evening raised over £1500 for nominated charity NSPCC guests generously donated in support of this hugely important UK charity.
“BOF Have now been the contracted furniture supplier for Welsh Government for over six years and since the award of the contract there has been a significant shift in purchasing new furniture from local suppliers within Wales. This includes larger companies as well as smaller bespoke suppliers. This ultimately has generated income for the Welsh economy and provided jobs and services in some of the more deprived area of Wales including the valleys taskforce area. Within the last couple years BOF took over a factory in Merthyr which repairs old furniture for reissue, and this should be considered as a best practise for similar operators.”
