2017 saw BOF undertake our largest removal and recycling project to date, in excess of 3600 items of furniture being re-purposed through recycling and/or remanufacturing in collaboration with specialist sustainability partners Senator Sustain. BOF achieved recycling project completion in 13 working days – well within the stipulated 4 week period available and in advance of critical deadline for fit-out contractor attendance at site.BOF professional Project Management and logistics ensured the clearance of this single floor facilitated the effective implementation of the subsequent fit out contractor programme of refurbishment.
BOF Project and Design teams then progressed the next stage of BOF involvement in this project – the design, specification, delivery and installation of new furniture for the fully refurbished floor.During the refurbishment period BOF Capital Projects and Design teams collaborated closely with the client on the final specification for the new furniture scheme ultimately leading to furniture installation programme commencing in early 2018 when BOF were allocated a provisional installation period of 8 weeks but actually completed the install within a 4 week window – an achievement far exceeding expectation and greatly appreciated by the client. The extensive furniture portfolio deployed to this project included: 300 Crossover bench workstations from Senator, over 250 Humanscale Freedom task chairs and 155 Bisley Myspace Lockers.
