The completion of the enhanced University of South Wales Cardiff Campus ATRiuM building, in the heart of Cardiff city centre, looks to further develop the creative industries in Wales.
BOF worked closely with The University of South Wales and Boyes-Rees Architects in creating inspiring learning environments, across four floors of the brand new extension, as well as a refurbishment of the existing ground floor and library.
The £14.7m expansion to the ATRiuM building will provide students with an increased range of specialist creative facilities, including studio facilities for our design and fashion courses, dance studios, drama rehearsal spaces and substantial photographic studios and labs. This is in addition to the new fabrication workshops for media, performance and design courses, and model making facilities for animation.
BOF worked to create a variety of individual and group study spaces, as well as inspirational classroom environments to allow flexible working for the large variety of creative courses the University provides, typifying the collaborative way in which the creative industries work.
“We are extremely pleased with the furniture and services provided by bof. Their professional approach and ability to collaborate with our architects, project team and client ensured the project ran smoothly & achieved a very high standard.”
