The Ingenuity Centre is the latest addition to the University of Nottingham Innovation Park at Jubilee Campus and forms the basis of the University's successful application to be one of the first University Enterprise Zones in the country.
BOF worked closely with the University of Nottingham to provide a working environment that promotes the businesses based within the building to interact, while also providing more secluded breakout zones for individual work.
The centrepiece of the University of Nottingham’s new Enterprise Zone will be the Ingenuity Centre – an intensive incubation facility housed in a new 2,000m2 3-storey building alongside the iconic Sir Colin Campbell Building, at a cost of £5.2m. The building will provide office-based accommodation for businesses and will be designed to facilitate interaction between the occupants.
Within the new Ingenuity Centre, the University will house key local businesses as well as national enterprises, such as Big Data & Digital, Advanced Manufacturing, Aerospace and Energy. Companies based in the new Centre will be able to take advantage of the University’s leading centres of excellence in these areas and the ready supply of high-quality postgraduate students.
