Located in the heart of England, the University of Derby builds on the region’s heritage of innovation to provide industry-relevant, expert teaching, from foundation and undergraduate degrees through to postgraduate study and research.
An iconic building in the heart of Derby’s vibrant city centre, One Friar Gate Square is the home of the Department of Law, Criminology and Social Sciences incorporating Derby Law School and the International Centre of Excellence in Policing and Criminal Justice.
In 2019 we worked with the University to refurbish the ground and second floor student social areas within One Friar Gate Square. The ground floor area has been re-designed to encourage group working using furniture pieces that encourage communication and collaboration.
The second floor has been designed with additional individual study zones for quiet study and also included furniture for students to congregate before and after lectures. The furniture specification included ranges from Boss Design, Naughtone and Allermuir.
