This major project, overseen by developer and regeneration specialist St. Modwen, in partnership with Swansea University, is situated on a 65-acre former BP site in Neath Port Talbot and is now one of the largest knowledge economy schemes in Europe. The Bay Campus development aims to provide facilities for multinational, small and medium sized enterprises to co-locate alongside academic, student accommodation and research facilities.Swansea University senior pro vice-chancellor, Professor Iwan Davies, said in a statement, “Our on-going, successful partnership with Navitas provides students with an alternative path to university life and together we will continue to enable students to come to Swansea from every corner of the globe.”
As the approved furniture supplier to Swansea University our Capital Projects team engaged with The College’s Project Team who asked us to design an interior environment with a unique identity. Simon Narbeth, our Design & Project Manager, created an inspiring scheme using some of the latest products and finishes from leading European manufacturers that had been launched in Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair earlier in the year. For example, we specified Vitra Joyn benching in oak & black which gave it a very different aesthetic to previous projects where we have installed Joyn in more traditional finishes.
