Lulsgate House, Bristol International Airport

Lulsgate House is an impressive new office building based at Bristol International Airport, designed for the Airport’s 1000+ administrative staff, operational teams and airline crew as well as a number of partner organisations.

BOF were pleased to be appointed by Bristol International Airport as their preferred supplier for the provision of loose furniture for their new Administration building. Working in collaboration with Stride Treglown architects and the Airport’s operational project team BOF Capital Projects team organised showroom visits, product demonstrations, sample deliveries, finishes meetings and pilot schemes to enable fully informed final product selections.

Stride Treglown were tasked by the client to create a high-quality working environment to support collaboration, positive health and wellbeing. The accommodation includes cycle storage, showers and changing facilities, a gym, roof terrace, flexible meeting spaces and extensive welfare and breakout areas.

Finishes and artwork are themed around the Airport’s destinations as well as Bristol based landmarks and heritage with joinery items incorporating actual aircraft components – a direct link to the City’s rich aviation history.

The product specification supports the client’s move from cellular offices into an open plan, agile working environment and includes highly considered products such as ‘Away From The Desk’ circular meeting booths from Orangebox, ‘Relic’ tables from Frovi and Boss Design’s ‘Telephone Pods’.

The design also features flexible spaces incorporating adaptable furniture which allow rooms to be used equally comfortably for working as well as for meetings.
