Coastal Housing Group - Urban Village
Coastal Housing develops homes and communities across South West Wales. Coastal Housing have recently relocated to a new building on Swansea's High Street as part of the new 'Urban Village' development. Wedeveloped a design scheme that features various interesting and unusual areas. We created an open plan office, an indoor garden area and a similar themed bistro area giving the offices a nature inspired feel.
Using new and creative products we have designed an open plan office with spaces to break away from their desk to work, an indoor garden area for visitors and staff to relax and a similar themed bistro area giving the offices a quirky, nature inspired feel.
Coastal Housing wanted a quirky garden theme to go with their new industrial looking building. We used products by Vitra, Orangebox, BuzziSpace, SpaceOasis and Indigo furniture to create a contrast between the soft garden theme and the harsh industrial interior. We have brought the outside in, with an indoor tree, lampposts and faux grass. To take it even further, we even added some park benches and their very own sheep.
We worked with Coastal Housing to create a space that was both comfortable and inviting, with interesting elements to encourage creativity and fun. Installations like idea paint allow all co-workers to write up their ideas, leave messages and leave news for the whole office to see.
