University of Bath - Centre for the Arts

Architect: Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios

Manufacturers: James Burleigh, Vitra, bof

The new centre, on the Claverton Down campus, houses the Institute of Contemporary Interdisciplinary Arts (ICIA) and the School of Management.

bof were chosen to specify & supply loose furniture for the entire new centre which provides a 220 seat theatre, art gallery, dance and performance studios and music rooms, alongside the facilities and research rooms for the School of Management, all under one roof.

One aim of the project was to create flexible spaces which can be used by not only the arts departments, but for other University activities such as teaching, conferences and Continuing Professional Development.
