Welcome to our first Wrap Up of 2019. We’ve had a busy start to the year so thought we’d share what's been going on at BOF recently...
University of Bristol – Fry Building Contract Award
The University of Bristol is investing £33 million in transforming the Grade II listed Fry Building to become the new home for the School of Mathematics from 2019. The building has lecture theatres and other teaching rooms, a wide variety of spaces for student quiet study, areas for groups and individuals as well as social areas and interaction space.
The Fry Building is at the heart of the campus, just a short walk from Beacon House study centre and café, close to Royal Fort Gardens and to the many other Schools in the University. We recently engaged with the University's project team and provided samples for evaluation prior to contract award. Later this year we will supply loose furniture throughout this iconic building.

We have recently introduced a 'Featured Product' area in our showroom which demonstrate ranges from selected manufacturers each month. So far we have featured products from Naughtone, Allermuir and Sixteen3.
We have introduced several of our Harmony ranges and products from brands such as James Burleigh, Frovi, Vitra and Orangebox. Visitors are always welcome to pop in for a look around...
BBC Wales Installation Completed
In January we completed our deliveries and installation at the new BBC Wales building located at Three Central Square, Cardiff. The £120 million building will replace the current BBC Cymru Wales Broadcasting House in Llandaff, Cardiff.
The furniture specifications and layouts, designed by ID:SR included brands such as Humanscale, Orangebox, Senator, Hitch Mylius, Mark Product, Davison Highly and Jennifer Newman. As an independent furniture supplier we have access to a wide portfolio of manufacturers enabling us to fulfil the BBC requirements and secure the contract.
We were chosen as the loose furniture provider for their new headquarters at Skypark, near Exeter; and new office building in Tolvaddon, Cornwall following a competitive OJEU tender process.
Both centres provide modern working environments that allow staff to come together and work collaboratively in a range of attractive settings.
LiveWest's goal was for Skypark and Tolvaddon interiors to share common themes and design approaches to create organisational coherence and ensure staff in both new offices enjoy similar, attractive working environments.
Both Skypark & Tolvaddon offices have been extremely succesfful projects and we look forward to working with the LiveWest team again on future refurbishments.
Last week we delivered to Coates Building at the University of Nottingham. As their sole furniture supplier we are on campus in Nottingham weekly and have a good longstanding relationship with the University team.
