Thursday, 15 November, 2018

Now in it’s fourth year and again supported by Welsh Government, Procurex Wales 2018 is well established as one of the major highlights within the annual procurement calendar – supporting innovation, education, collaboration and celebration over a single dedicated day.

More than 1,100 delegates enjoyed over 40 free training sessions, the Welsh Government Procurement Pavilion, the NHS Wales SSP Procurement Pavilion, Business Wales and Sell2Wales Support Zone and the wealth of knowledge demonstrated in the 5 training zones and throughout the event.

As an approved furniture supplier to the National Procurement Service (NPS), Welsh Government, National Assembly for Wales, NHS, Police Forces, local authorities across Wales and the Fire Service we ensure we have a prominent position at the Procurex Wales supplier exhibition and had another great day at this years event.

Our stand

Our exhibition stand continued the theme of biophillic design utilisng the fantastic “On-Point” table from “Offecct”, this innovative product provides the perfect housing for an artificial or real tree to shoot up from the middle. The product gave us a great platform to sit down with delegates and discuss work (and non-work) related subjects over a spot of lunch. It also gave us the perfect opportunity to run through some of our recently completed projects which can be viewed here.

This year our stand also featured a faux 'living wall' which have been very well received in a number of our recent projects such as University of Bristol, Cathedral Square and University of Nottingham, RAD Building.

We launched Issue 3 of our ReTHINK publication at Procurex which is packed full of industry news, guest articles and product updates. Click here to download your copy.

Our 'desktop gardens' were a great hit with both delegates and other exhibitors. We can't wait to see tweets hopefully of some that are growing. If you picked up a desktop garden at Procurex please tweet us using @bof_furniture and #bofgarden

Our VR 'Oculus Go' allowed us to demonstrate our space planning capabilities to delegates and our Google cardboard style VR goggles were also well received as practical, takeaway mementoes!

It's lovely to hear comments like "your stand is by far the best here" from key decision makers within the public sector. Check out some of the action shots below:

We welcomed Commercial Director of Welsh Government and NPS Wales, Susan Moffatt to our stand who chatted with Simon Narbeth, Design & Project Manager about some of the procurement challenges in the Welsh Public Sector. Nice to meet you Sue.

For all those who attended, we hope you enjoyed this years event. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Thank you to Celf Creative for building our stand this year. It was a pleasure working with you.
