A Review of Clerkenwell Design Week 2019

May 30, 2019

Clerkenwell Design Week captures thousands each year - drawing in visitors from across the globe, the cobbled streets of London came alive for the 3-day festival. This year, 18 members of the BOF team immersed themselves into the leading design district, covering 13 miles and visiting over 40 supplier showrooms. Our Design, Capital Projects and Sales Team extracted every inch of CDW, sourcing products that would meet all client needs.

Besides bags full of supplier look books and catalogues, here is what we took from Clerkenwell Design Week 2019…

Our first stop on Wednesday was Frovi's VIP event at their showroom where they were launching several new product ranges and showcasing the innovative 'Colony' concept piece... as well as feeding us! Thank you Frovi team :-)

Next up was a quick stop at Kusch & Co, part of the Nowy Styl group. We were very impressed with the crisp, clean showroom and the obvious emphasis on biophilic design...

Boss Design

At Boss Design we loved the new ranges; DNA, Maysa, Nevez and Saint. Was great to see the Boss team and the showroom looked great as always...

Davison Highley

Davison Highley were celebrating 40 years of British Design and manufacture at CDW. We popped in to see Caroline, Toby and the team for a tour of their great showroom. Fabulous sunshine and products at Davison Highley

There was lots going on at the new Bisley showroom. The team thought the new lockers were great as well as the wipeable table...

Our Designers are often required to specify innovative acoustic solutions within our schemes. We visited Abstracta Soundscapes at CDW this year to view the new products on the market...

Icons of Denmark

Our Design team visited Icons of Denmark. Claire Trotman, Design Team Leader liked the "great Scandanavian products with a modern twist on traditional concepts, biophilic influences and natural finishes. We look forward to welcoming Ellis from Icons of Denmark to our showroom in June to hear more about their designs."

Day 2

Day 2 started with a visit to Naughtone to see James Munsch and his team... The team loved the great new products. So much to see, so little time!

Spacestor was a favourite for our new Graphic Designer Rebecca Rees who loved the soft pastel colour scheme and innovative storage products. We are looking forward to Spacestor visiting our showroom for further product training.

Allermuir & Senator

At lunch time we met with Jane at the impressive Allermuir & Senator showrooms. Allermuir launched several new products at CDW2019 including 'Kin', 'Folk' and 'Layer'.

We saw lots more suppliers and showrooms at CDW2019 including Brunner, Casala, MARK Product, Humanscale, Actiu, Sixteen3, Flokk and Ensemble. Hopefully you have enjoyed seeing our highlights of the busiest 2 days of the year! We would like to thank Frovi, Orangebox and Senator for the hospitality we received and all suppliers for the warm welcomes and fantastic atmosphere. We can't wait for next year!
