University of Nottingham - David Ross Sports Village

Opening in October 2016, the University of Nottingham’s new £40m David Ross Sports Village will create an outstanding, inspirational and accessible sports infrastructure for all.

BOF once again collaborated with the University of Nottingham to design an environment suitable for the top 5 best performing institution in the history of university sport. We endeavoured to provide on-brand breakout and multipurpose seating as well as office desking and freestanding information stations to the state-of-the-art sports village, which includes the largest university sports hall in the UK.

The new facility will include:

  • Six glass and one all-glass squash courts
  • 20 Badminton courts
  • 60m indoor sprint track
  • Human Performance Unit: Hydrotherapy pool and a cold plunge pool
  • 12m climbing wall
  • Martial arts dojo
  • Table tennis, archery and fencing spaces
  • Three dance studios
  • Snooker and pool room
  • 200-station fitness suite

The complex will also connect to the existing 25m Swimming pool, rubber crumb and sand dressed pitches.
