Thames Valley Science Park

Thames Valley Science Park is a subsidiary of the University of Reading which provides over 80,000 sq ft of modern, flexible office space and cutting edge laboratories occupied by innovation-led SMEs.

The Gateway building is designed to be flexible, adaptable and anticipate change, to suit a generation of occupiers.

The buildings are the catalyst for the successful delivery of the wider TVSP, setting the standard and delivering an early identity and brand aspiration for the park and future developments.

As the sole furniture supplier to the University of Reading we worked with the client to specify suitable products and designed layouts throughout.

BOF's Capital Projects team ensured that the chosen products and design met the clients expectations and achieved the desired function and aesthetics within the required budget.

We welcomed the team from TVSP at our showrooms to review products and discuss finishes.

We supplied an eclectic range of products from a small selection of well known UK branded manufacturers.

Dr David Gillham, Director of Thames Valley Science Park, said:

"I am hugely proud that the Thames Valley Science Park is now open for business. From the outset, our aim has been to create a community of ambitious like-minded companies who have an ability to make a genuine difference to the local region and the wider world."

Sir David Bell, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, said:

"The Thames Valley Science Park is the first of its kind in the region, and a sign of the University's commitment to investing in the local economy. Its location just outside London - and close to major transport hubs like the M4, Reading Station and Heathrow - will attract new UK and international businesses to the area, in turn creating more jobs and wealth."
